| Version | Date | Description |
| 5.10.15 | 3/31/2002 | Minor appearance changes Minor code updates
| 5.10.14 | 3/9/2002 | There was a problem when installing the program under Windows NT 4, server or workstation. Some files were not getting properly registered. The first reboot after the program installation would cause the system to hang. A second reboot will allow the system to restart normally. The program would crash with error number 429 if it was run after the installation. Minor appearance changes Minor code updates
| 5.10.13 | 1/26/2002 | The program menus have been updated to the Windows XP style. |
| 5.10.12 | 1/5/2002 | An error would occur when loading an encrypted password list. The number column in the main password list will now automatically resize to accommodate any number of passwords. (Was fixed at a width of 500 twips which would cut off numbers over 1000 or so.) The program version is now written to the error log along with the other error information.
| 5.10.11 | 12/11/2001 | The Infragistics 3d and UltraToolbar components were upgraded. These components are used in the program for buttons, panels, frames, Toolbars, Menu Items etc. The program version numbering system has changed. Future versions will follow this pattern: - 5.10.12
- 5.10.13
- 5.10.14 etc..
Minor internal code changes
| 5.1.100 | 11/26/2001 | The program was changing the password for the current (logged in) user instead of the selected user in the user manager screen.
| 5.1.0 | 11/25/2001 | The program is now certified to work with Windows XP. Updated the encryption components. (EB Crypt Library) The program will not check for a valid ADO 2.5 or greater installation on Windows 2000 or XP. These OS's already have ADO installed. A false error message would appear on Windows XP. Minor code updates and maintenance. The program help file was updated.
| 5.0.9 | 6/5/2001 | A new feature has been added which allows the generation of an UNLIMITED number of passwords at one time. There is a new "Generate to File" option under the file menu. When this option is enabled all password lists are generated directly to file (that you specify) which allows an unlimited number to be generated. You can also specify how the passwords should be separated as they are saved. There is still a 200,000 password limit if you generate the passwords to the main program list box instead of using the "Generate to File" option.
| 5.0.8 | 6/3/2001 | The speed of password generation with duplicate checking enabled has been DRASTICALLY increased. There is now very little difference in speed when generating a list with the "Skip all duplicate passwords" option enabled. This makes generating unique password lists much faster and easier. The maximum number of passwords that can be generated at once has been increased to 200,000. The old maximum was 50,000. After registering the program the shareware reminder messages would not stop unless the program was restarted. Corrected
| 5.0.7 | 5/15/2001 | When generating long passwords (usually over 10 characters) containing lots of special characters and the "Skip all duplicate passwords" option is enabled an unusually large number of passwords will be skipped (rejected as duplicates). The password list will still be generated. This problem is related to the way ADO handles the apostrophe ( ' ) character when doing a "find" operation on a record set. This problem can be fixed by installing the newest version of Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC / ADO) v2.6.
| 5.0.6 | 5/13/2001 | When using static characters (like "-", "/", "0", "1", etc.) in a custom password mask the "Make passwords differ from last in all positions" option would not work properly. Corrected.
| 5.0.5 | 5/5/2001 | The cryptographic strength of the programs pseudo random number generator (PRNG) has been improved again. The built in Visual Basic PRNG ("rnd" function) is no longer used anywhere in the program. There is now an option under the file menu to generate a random data file using the programs PRNG. This data file can then be analyzed by third party utilities such as Diehard or ENT. Minor appearance adjustments. The program help file has been updated to reflect the changes listed above.
| 5.0.4 | 3/3/2001 | The program registration process has changed. A program license file can now be downloaded via a link in your order confirmation e-mail. The license file is automatically detected by the program when it is saved to the program folder. The order confirmation e-mail is usually sent within one hour after you complete your order on-line.
| 5.0.3 | 2/17/2001 | Password list generation is about 20% faster. Password list encryption (to file) is about 40% faster. (Still uses 256bit TwoFish encryption algorithm) The built in pseudo random number generator (PRNG) is now cryptographically strong. This provides for a more random distribution of characters within the passwords generated. The "pcp5setup2.exe" install file was producing an error message when the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) were being installed. This resulted in the components not being installed at all. The program help file has been updated to reflect the changes listed above.
| 5.0.2 | 2/4/2001 | The program's auto-update features were greatly enhanced. Files that reside anywhere on your system can now be updated if necessary. (Was just the program folder) A single update executable can now be downloaded separately (if desired) for program updates. You can now update the program automatically (from within the program) or manually via a separate file download.
| 5.0.1 | 2/4/2001 | There was a possibility of a false "Corrupt EXE File" error message on operating systems that were using 56bit encryption. (Windows & IE v4/5 default encryption strength.) This mostly occurred on non-U.S. computers where the "weak" encryption was 56 bits instead of 40 bits. (The UK, Australia, etc.) Anyone experiencing this problem will need to uninstall the program and reinstall the new version.

| 5.0.0 | 1/1/2001 | Initial program release |
